Desperate Times Call For... Screaming J. Rule!
It's 2020, the world has gone mad and the UK is officially a tiny island full of crazy people but our very own Screaming J. has returned from her hiatus in the US and plans are a foot... Actually, a foot is a foot and plans are plans... Anyway, Screaming J. Rule is still a thing and we intend to make it more of a thing than ever, to ease your stress and anxiety in these particularly mental times. There weren't nearly as many Nazis around when we wrote Nazi Smasher, back in 2012 - it's going to be good to bring our Nazi-smashing ways back to the stage this year. Keep checking this site for details of our 2020 campaign - not every day though, maybe just once a month; we don't tend to do things all that quickly ☠️

Another Year, Another Gig!
It's a new year! This means it's time for us to think about our 2018 gig. We only play one gig a year and we've no plans yet so it's up for grabs! If you want to book us or have any suggestions of where you think we should play please contact us and let us know.

Screaming J Rule to play first live date in over two years!
Screaming J Rule will be performing live at Caustic Capers - a night of theatre, comedy, music and puppets. This will be the band's first live performance in over two years!
Guitarist Grim Outlook had this to say:
'We've got twenty minutes, we're gonna try and play everything we've written... everything we've learned at least. There's quite a bit nobody has heard before so we're really looking forward to it.'
Caustic Capers takes place on 27th April at Blade Factory, Camp and Furnace, Liverpool and is the band's only scheduled 2017 gig.

Grim Outlook has recently finished recording a whole bunch of demos for Screaming J. Rule. Hopefully this will lead to an album in the not too distant future... or at the very least a drummer. We'll be getting music up on this site asap!

Welcome to the Screaming J. Rule website!
Our seemingly endless quest for a drummer nearly reached a conclusion last year but then the drummer we thought was going to drum decided to have a job instead and so the adventure continues. In the meantime we've decided to continue playing gigs without a drummer (or bass player) because it seems to work anyway.
